Hi everyone, I just bought a lot of chemicals like Methocel, Sodium Citrate, STPP, etc. I wonder how to storage these ingredients, so they can last for a long time.

Depending on where you purchased them, ziploc works well if kept n original package. I tried Willpowder and their containers don't appear to be airtight (lost some stuff). Modernist pantry packaging on it's own sees to work quite well. Beyond that, small mason jars e.g.

have been excellent for me.

If you have a vacuum sealer with an attachment, I like to use the vacuum jars to store them.
Before I thought about that, I've kept them double bagged to ensure freshness.

I went to a local hardware store, purchased a water proof air tight toolbox, put in a safe sized dedicate canister, and it works great for me.

Do you reckon it would help to add some silica packages to the ziplock bags/mason jars?

I suspect it wouldn't hurt.

Sorry for the delay, but I use these:

with a piece of cling wrap under the lid. Works well enough.
IF I seal them, I use the vacuum lids like these:
