Easter dinner ........discussions in the household. Tomorrow evening they wanted a carrot cake, I showed them chefsteps recipe and I received "we don't have everything"......so I said we could modify....nope. So I said ok and so I did it (cuz I have a fragile male ego :-)...) and used dried cherries instead of raisins, left over heirloom carrots instead of all one color, brandy cuz no rum in the house and.......the trial of the overflow of ingredients on the silpat suggests it is delicious. Likely a real carrot cake tomorrow for easter dinner. Will have to eat this tonight. :-)
