I was looking at a Masterclass the other day and thought to myself that Chef Steps is in a unique position to consider offering a more structured culinary education via this platform.
While the recipes and techniques on the site are great, I often think that as a self taught cook it would be nice to go through some of the basic and foundational techniques and even things like cost control, sanitation and food handling tips etc.
Moreso, to do it in a structured manner. I find myself learning from the writings of Keller, Rhulman and Pepin for example who are masters in their own right but at times I feel a bit overwhelmed with information and no 'structure' so to speak.
Anyway just a thought as an expansion idea, especially for those of us who may want to transition our skills into a more professional arena but are unable to attend a formal institution for whatever reason. Obviously some logistical challenges apply but you guys are good at figuring things out!
