Baking Ingredients in the LA area?

Hey! I just moved to Los Angeles, Los Feliz specifically, and I'm at a loss for where to get better baking supplies.

Specifically I'm having a hell of a time finding white pastry flour. It seems like even the upscale markets out here only stock wheat pastry flour, which is useless to me. Anybody know of a shop?

Also really interested to know if there's a place in/around Hollywood that sells bulk Valrhona feves.

Have you tried Surfas in Culver City? I go to the one in Orange County and they usually have everything I need.

I think I've bought pastry flour from whole foods/mother's market multiple times. I live in OC though

They not only sell gourmet ingredients, but they're also a restaurant supply store. Great shop.

Check out Monsieur Marcel at the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. (That neighborhood was my stompin' grounds for six years.) There's also one at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica,

Don't know too much about their offerings in the pastry world, but if you don't find what you're looking for you can still sit down and have some delicious bistro fare.
