The neighbours came over to see the kitchen and I knocked up curried vegetable empanadas (no photo); Cornish Game Hens with Chicken Bread, Roasted Carrots, Garlic Potato Wedges, Roasted Corn Puree; and dessert of Shiner Bock Layer Cake with Shiner Bock Frosting.

There is is actually. A house is for sale across the green belt from me so it would be a 2 minute walk across grass kitchen to kitchen. You just need to move the Dallas TX.

I tried their Chocolate Stout a few years ago, that would be great in a cake, don't know if it is still available as it was a birthday brew. Any chance of getting your frosting recipe? Love that glossy look...... I assume it's a meringue with a little Shinner Bock?

The frosting was:

200g icing sugar

25g Shiner Bock (or any dark beer of your choice)

150g Cream cheese, room temp

Beat all in stand mixer until smooth, really smooth (2 minutes or so).
