Round Sourdough
Brandon_153256
I hate eating fast food, however I miss the perfectly round sourdough buns from hardee's/Carl's JR or I think Jack in the Box has them too.
Does anyone know a way to create a round sourdough bun like they have, but, you know, good?

You might try utilizing the foil ring method used

The challenge with the sourdough is the starter (at least for me). Flower and water is the base, but for me stainless steel inhibited the process. So, I would recommend wood or as worst case, hard plastic. once you have the starter, innoculate the bread (more flour, water and add salt) withe the starter and mix, turn (fold) every 30 minutes or so x4, then let it sit for ~24 hrs, fold one last time and shape your buns and bake.

I keep mine in a ceramic crock in the fridge.

Odd, I've kept my starter in steel containers and had no issues. Usually I use glass though.
