Edible muffins that don't need toasting?

Does anybody know a muffin base recipe that produces muffins ready to eat - that don't need toasting? In other words, what's the breadiest muffin you can make and still call it a muffin? This is a kind of urgent query - I really need an 'edible' muffin recipe... (smile emoticon)

I'm confused what you're looking. You say you're looking for a muffin base that doesn't require toasting: well, that's really any type of english muffin...or bread, muffin, or biscuit in general. If you're looking for the shape, there are plenty of recipes for bread, and you can just call if a muffin if you like. Here is a recipe ChefSteps posted a few years back. I'm not sure if that will help you or not, because honestly, I have no idea what you're looking for. Good luck.
