All right, this one is for all the football fans out there: What are you making for Game Day?
Our staff is woefully indifferent to sportsballs of all kinds, and that's a double shame this year since the Seahawks v. Patriots matchup would've been a perfect time for some light-heartedly serious in-office rivalry, since Tim's a Boston guy and most of the rest of us reside in Seahawk territory. But, alas, it was not to be. (I myself live in New York, so I will remain mum about… everything.)
So in lieu of any spirited smack-talking, I'm just gonna ask what you're making, because that's what I care about. I don't even watch football, but I have some plans to make my tiny family a tray of nachos with some chuck steak I picked up at Costco (I use the Joule/Breville app suggestion of 21 hrs @ 131 F), black beans, and some kind of variation on our Nacho Cheese, something to nibble on for the half-time show. And I've still got a bunch of pre-portioned chocolate chip cookie dough spheres in the freezer, which I'll throw in the oven when my kid wonders for the hundredth time why we're watching football.
But I could use a little more inspiration, I suppose—the nachos seem super uninspired, just easy (and tasty). Are you making anything amazing? What is it?
I will just say that if I were having a party, I'd probably go all in on the White Castle-style sliders.
