More interesting changes. Some bumped big, some moved up a fair bit. Pretty cramped top 15-20 and "change" seemed to be a big component of movement .........if your restaurant wasn't noticbly "changing" from previous years but really have no clue. I mean after all, how can one with chef of the year, 2 mich stars and not even be in the top 100. Valet parking that bad? ;-)

Yes, just "might" be a bit of an award sham but it did serve up some chefs with some inspiring dishes.

Thanks for the update! Time to plan our next destinations...

These lists are always very subjective but I've never been disappointed with my experience of these restaurants. We can discuss the relative rankings to no end but these are all restaurants at the top of their game.

Thought I posted this earlier, but this is part of the arbitrary nature I was talking about yesterday. Dominique Crenn was named the best female chef in the world, but her restaurant did not make the top 100 list. That's whackadoodles to me.

I enjoy these lists but don't pay too much attention to them. I was happy to see The Clove Club get some recognition, I ate there back in September and it was absolutely fantastic,

No idea if The Fat Duck didn't qualify due to it's temporary Australia move or something, but any list of best restaurants that doesn't have that in the Top 5 lacks a little something, I've eaten there twice in the past six months and it is beyond remarkable.

I go to Noma in a few weeks so will look forward to trying that.

Seriously? Please tell me your reservation tricks! I've been wanting to go there for the last few years and even trying to book months in advance has left me without.

Fat Duck or Noma? Neither is easy!

You just have to get there within about two minutes of the reservations opening. For The Fat Duck that's the first Wednesday of the month at midday UK time. Noma just gives the date on their website.

The Fat Duck you have to pay for the food in advance now, which meant a staggering £1530 went on my card last time. Worth every penny, I went on my birthday and it was fun, to say the least.
