I am new to the site. Attempting to make Luscious Little Lemon Cakes. Can I candy the lemons ahead of time and store to be used later. Have never done anything like it and would be a lot more comfortable knowing they were ready for company before guests are on their way.

No problem in doing ahead of time....you could make the whole thing the day before ...cool down and then cover (lightly but sealed on the edges) with plastic wrap or put in an air tight container so they don't dry out...OH and WELCOME aboard. A Sauterne wold go well with these...
