Hello,

Can someone let me know the life expectancy of the Joule. I plan on ordering one, but just curious as to how long its estimated to last. Enjoy.

You haven't received a reply because the way you asked the question it can't be answered....HOWEVER, Being familiar with the construction (having seen all the parts and specs first hand) I can assure you it is better constructed, smaller and more efficient than my VFR analog immersion circulator. Im sure you ask, pray tell what is the relevance of that statement? I bought my VFR unit off of E-Bay in 2003 from a lab retiring its older units....I have now had it 13 years used it at least 2 times a week and many cooks of 72 hours. I gave that unit to a friend about 3 months ago and he runs it about 60 hours a week doing ribs and tough cuts for his little catering business.

It still holds within a degree and has NEVER faltered (unlike my Anova ).....

The reason your question can't be answered is the Joule has yet to be released into the wild were I assure you it will meet with every kind of abuse and miss-use imaginable....
