Todd,
Where did you find banana peppers?! When I find banana peppers, it's some unnamed pepper thats been sliced and pickled and a terribly vinegary brine and bright yellow dye. Would love to make REAL pickled banana peppers!

Hi Lou, I have a local farm/purveyor where I get my Pork (Copia farms). They've modeled their farm after Blue hill

barns and have done a fantastic job with sourcing certain animals, rotating their locations according to food, follow them with chickens and have a crop of veg and such where they will be rotating to maintain healthy soil. Pretty cool really (and they let my kids pick out the piglet/hog that made its way to our freezer. So, long story short, I grab about $100 of whatever they have each month (in this case banana peppers were available as part of their haul). If they have more next month, will probably make another batch, but not sure if they'll still have any. Also not sure if they'll b back next year or if they'll be replaced by a different complimentary soil crop.
