Birthday Cake

My middle child requested a red velvet cake for his birthday. So, I pulled out our ol' secret family recipe and whipped him up a cake from scratch. I have yet to master homemade cakes and this wasn't my best attempt but he was pretty happy with it, so that's what counts.

I can cook some serious "stuff and things" but, baking a cake is toooo harrrrrrrd, I screw them up every time.. I think it has something to do with really following directions...looks great to me..
