Freeze dried banana substitutes?

I'm thinking of making Chefstep's banana bread, but the recipes wants freeze dried bananas and I've just about NEVER seen anything sold freeze dried in Australia. Will dried banana chips work well as a substitute? Or can I leae them out and replace the freeze dried bananas with something else?

( No walnuts though, I'm allergic to nuts.)

Banana chip are not the same, one of the comments was don't use them it made hard chunks in the finished bread. Freeze dried bananas are the light and have the texture of dryed marshmallow, not hard and crunchy. If you can't find them just leave then out I think it will still be great. One other comment was that the added the same weight of almond flour, but personally I don't think it's necessary.
