Yes, it should be the same. That's the cut I've used when making the recipe, and it comes out fine.

+1 with Brian. I prefer the St. Louis cut. I do it all the time. My local butcher had St. Louis on sale this week so I bought four slabs cooked them all and they are in the freezer. Now anytime I want ribs they about an hour away. I've even done it with boneless (not really ribs) and they are outstanding as well.
