For me that changes often.......like once a case of wine...I have been "cooking" a long time, however, the guy that REALLY got me going was TK (Thomas Keller) with "The French Laundry" cookbook, then Grant Achatz and on and on...

Thomas Keller and his _Ad Hoc_ cookbook are the ones that really launched and elevated my passion for home cooking.

Okay, okay -- she's not actually a chef and will not be pulling down a Michelin star anytime soon, but the woman can cook and she always put great food on the table for a family of 5. She is definitely one of the major inspirations behind my love of cooking today.

I have to say after viewing Masterchef UK: The Professionals several times over, I learned that there are a so many gifted, talented chef's out there it boggles the mind. And they all have at minimum one Michelin star...some have three or four or more...that to nail down one name is nearly impossible. Short list: Heston Blumenthal, Roca Brothers, Massimo Bottura, Joel Rubichon, Thomas Keller, Michele Roux, Alain Roux....how can you pick but one? There are so many more names I'd be here all day! How lucky are we to live in an age where we get to learn from so many that are passionate about creating beautiful, delicious foods. Pretty darn lucky I'd say.

Julia Child.I love the way she cooks I used to watch her show all the time when I was small.As of now I like Thomas Keller,Jamie Oliver and Gail Simmons.
