Pâté storage & use

Quick question re: storage of pâté after it's made. How long does it last under refrigeration if jar unopened? After opening?

I've kept Chefsteps pâté in the fridge, unopened, for many weeks...maybe even 6 weeks. I would say that after 2 - 3 weeks, it is still good, but the flavor begins to fade a bit...hasn't stopped us from eating it though. I can't speak to how long an unopened container lasts, as in my house it's rarely longer than 2 days before it is consumed.
