You beat me to it

Here we go again. Promises, then silence. I'm getting pretty upset. Late Sept. and no news from these people.
I gave them a lot of money nearly a year ago. They said it will ship in May. Then silence until announcing some problems. Then more silence. Then it will ship in September. ("Start" shipping.)
These people need a PR person to explain to them that frequent and honest updates are far more tolerable to us investors/customers than these rare promises. Promises that then aren't kept.

Shipping starts tomorrow (Monday), and the forecast is to have shipped all preorders by the end of October. That's certainly transparent enough for me.

Did you even bother reading the update? And what promise isn't being kept?

There's is ALWAYS a pot stirrer......ignorance.......not someone who has an actual inquiry. Every one of your four posts have said nothing except to inflame.
Anyone who reads... pay no mind.

You happy people just don't seem able to understand that mass-emails are efficient, easy ways to communicate with customers. The problem is, as others have observed, that this otherwise classy company (the Web site is excellent and I expect the product to be equally excellent) has been lax in emailing its customers. I'm not suggesting weekly or even monthly updates. But rather than put announcements only here in the forum (which many customers are uninterested in following, unable to follow, or unaware that the forum even exists)--these few announcements should have been emailed. That's what I mean by "silence." The most recent update was emailed, today. The previous update (about the Sept. shipment) was not emailed. Translation for the dumb (you don't know who you are): A forum isn't a good way to get information to all customers.

Childishly insulting people speaks far now about you than it does about them. As far as the radio silence, I'm not saying it way a good thing, nowhere in any if my posts, anywhere, will you see me saying that. However, if you go back up and Read your post you say "
Late Sept. and no news from these people."
well, this isn't true, they did give news. Not in a manner that you would have preferred, but it was news. "

" i respond to this more any of your other similar complaints. Your frustrations, while understandable, were at the time, and still are, moot. Why? Because they gave news. Should they Have kept in better contact with their customers? Perhaps, that it's a matter is opinion. The May debacle, while it undesirable, was unavoidable. Their September "promise" was kept. Units Have shipped. They haven't told any of us that we would definitely have then this month. They only promise was to start shipping this month. Which they have kept. I have no idea when you started paying attention to Joule, however, if you have been following it for as long as some of us have, the last time they tried to send out a mass email to all paying customers informing them of a delay, a large amount of customers never received it. But this has nothing to do with the price of tea in China. In your original post
You go on about promises that aren't kept, then silence, no news, etc. We've beaten the May horse to death but this was the only promise that want kept. However, late September, before you made you post, there was news. Just because you didn't review it doesn't negate it from existence. I'm not arguing the point about Their keeping in touch or not, that's 100% an opinion. Maybe you would have been ok with a stream of "'we have no news yet" I'm not sure. However, I'd you read back through the posts, you Will see plenty of folks demanding, threatening, giving ultimatums about a hard ship date, which, according to Chris Young, they didn't have until right around the time his update was posted.
"I'm not suggesting weekly or even monthly updates
." well Which is it, frequent a and honest updates, or what?
Anyway, this entire thing has nothing to do with anything. The fact remains that, when you made the comment about late September, broken promises, and no news: the only broken promise was the one in May. There was news, and they lived up to their promise to
begin
shipping in September.
