Hi Guys,
I'm working (mostly thought experimenting) on a recipe. I need a gel which I can stretch and it can keep it's new shape once stretched... I've tried some but generally I get brittle gels with Agar, Gelatin, Gellan Gum (Low Acyl) etc...
So a simple use case is sth. like this. Let's say I've made a ribbon of length 15 cm, and when applied some force (and probably some heat as well) I can stretch it to 30 cm... Etc... And I can keep stretching further.
I think I might need a long polymer hydro-colloid or some modified starches but not sure where to start with. Any guidance is highly appreciated.
I guess I'm defining a hydro-colloid (or a blend), which is partially thermo-reversible or thermo-relaxed (just coined) so that I can further shape it without melting after it's set.
