Tagliatelle with Squash and Prosciutto

Still on the road, picked up a cheap rolling pin and made some fresh pasta. Tagliatelle with fresh butternut squash, prosciutto, fresh made ragu and parmesan.......guess I'll be eating the ragu (marinara) for the week. LOL

"Still on the road....". I am having visions of Doc from Back to the Future in a hotel room and a Joule... I am curious how you did all this on the road. Could you elaborate?

This time I rented a condo so it was easier. First time in a hotel I did the following (which isn't difficult at all). First, I went to a local department store and got a petty knife, ziploc bags (though I brought some with me) , tupperware and a couple of hard plastic plates. Hit Bd bath and beyond and got plastic cuting board (~$6) and rolling pin (~$6which I should have kept). Then hit the grocery store (local whole foods, trader Joes) and a few farmer's markets on the weekends. Paper plates and bowls, cutlery supplied by the hotel :-). Cleaned off the table that was in the room and proceeded to make the pasta by hand, let it hydrate while I brought the water to 90C in the garbage can (with a 2L ziploc bag in it). After doing the pasta on the table put it in a 1 gallon ziploc and took a cup and poured just enough 90C water into the bag with the pasta. Then put that bag into the 90C water and cooked it for ~5-6 minutes. Really pretty easy. This time around, since I had a condo but kitchen tools were minimal, I did the same but also made a marinara which was more time consuming than the pasta but worth it IMHO.

Very impressive! It sounds like you travel on a regular basis and perhaps for longer stays. Thanks for sharing.

Yes and length varies. This trip just under 2 weeks, next one 2 days, t hen one week. Longer than 3 days and Joule comes along for the ride.
