Had friends over for a nice little Sunday dinner. Made a few tried and true dishes plus some new ones I've been wanting to try out.

Chicken liver pâté and toast, plus this pepper jelly that I think tasted really delicious in combination.
Pickled shrimp, fennel, cucumber, and carrot. This is from Sean Brock's book, with a few minor changes. Will make again. These and the beets below were larger portions to share.
Roasted beets with fried goat cheese. Forgot to add the shaved fennel for the picture. It was thrown on haphazardly before eating.
Kinch's gumbo with shrimp, crab, oysters and boudin. My roommate made the rice and another friend helped stir, so this was a team effort through and through.
