yes it can, just keep it warm though (115F), NOT bubbling....

The melting salts also emulsify so it should be fine at a lower temperature, just warm enough to to keep it liquid. Just don't get it too hot or it will get too thick as the moisture evaporates.

In my experience making the modernist cuisine version, which is similar, it can be stored in the fridge and reheated with little change in texture and cheeeesiness.
