I coated it with olive oil and salt and pepper and then seared it all over with the searzall. Sliced it up and squeezed lemon juice all over it. I usually grill it to get a sear. It's better that way.

This was a pre-cleaned frozen octopus from Spain. Gutting and de-sliming an octopus fresh from the ocean is challenging and time consuming, so I was glad to have that part done for me. Grilled, then lemon juice is the purist way, but yakitori sauce or anticucho sauce are good with it too. Gotta get a good sear on that skin (not shown) to bring out the flavor.
