Uni firms up nicely when cooked but loses some of its flavor.

how did you steam the oysters? did you steam uni too?

I used a small stainless steel steamer. The water level was below the bottom of the basket insert. Yes the uni went on top of the oysters in the steamer. I only steamed them for about 5 min or until the oysters firmed up a little.
