Decided to do a steak (basic, I know). Got a 1.5 inch thick ribeye from the local butcher and preseared it.
Finished with butter, thyme, and garlic. Also tried out a new lens and some DIY softboxes I built for food photography. Here it is inside that setup:

Had a bit of trouble getting the crust I wanted but turned out pretty decent overall.
