Tried one last night. Overall a thumbs up. It was more "custardy" than I'm used to, though not in a bad way and not surprising given the number of egg yolks. Also, I used fresh eggs from my neighbor which may have an effect compared to supermarket eggs. To me, it was more along the lines of a pot de creme (I have not tried the CS recipe for that). I would make it again and maybe decrease the amount of yolks and add vanilla.

That creme brûlée has pretty much ruined me for any creme brûlée I can get in the city I live in (and surrounding cities). The texture is amazing. The pot de creme is also crazy good.
Both are desserts I make when I want minimal effort with maximum impressiveness.
