I live in Brazil and the new app is not available. This is not an improvement if I will not be able to use my joule anymore. No app available means I cannot use my joule anymore. What are you guys going to do about this? My joule just became trash?
Hi Roberta, Joule has not been sold, covered by our warranty, or supported for use in Brazil. Areas where Joule was sold and warrantied will continue to maintain access via the new app.
This is such an outrageous position for Chefsteps/Breville to take, to sell a product to consumers, to essentially turn the product off and make it non-functional, and make it impossible for the consumers who bought them to use the product for what you sold it for . . . while keeping all the money consumers already gave you. Any Joule sold from the United States is covered by the Magnuson-Moss Consumer Warranty Act, and this is a violtation of the implied warranty implied into every consumer transaction in the United States and absolutely illegal in my own opinion. This reminds me when Chefsteps took a one time fee for ALL of the content on the site, and then decided that you would have to pay another fee to get all of the content.
Fool me once, etc. I certainly will never buy another Chefsteps/Breville product as a result.
