Most the work appears to be done. What are you going to do for the other 4 hours? :-)

The Demi will take the most time. I love that stuff.

You've had three hours to eat and recover......? C'mon man, we need pics!

So dinner was about 2 hours late, I got a bit distracted a few times. Forgot to put cream in the green bean casserole, and the apple pie could have used twice as many apples. In the end it was an orgy of food. My tummy is full, the kitchen is clean and it's 11 pm here. Here are some pics.
Here are the veggies all cooked down and the apple pie ready for the oven.
Here's the Demi-Glace, there was a whole lotta work put into getting 2 cups of sauce.
My dinner guest brought these over. Add surf to the turf.
I smoked the steaks about 30 min using hickory wood chips before sticking them in the sous vide.
Put it all together.
The apple pie a la mode, pie was a bit flat.
And the salad.
Time for bed, good night everyone.

The demi took all day, cooking down the veggies then reducing the sauce. Very labor intensive.

I smoked weed and drank beer.

Thank you, I'm very proud of my kitchen and my entire house. It's been a labor of love restoring my home. My house was built in 1924 and I bought it 1984. So I've been here a while. The original kitchen had a 1950's Chambers stove in mint condition and a vintage Servel gas refrigerator. The kitchen was a very small room 9'x9' with a 9'x9' attached laundry room. In 2005 did an extensive house remodel and combined the 2 rooms making a galley kitchen 9x18 and built on a new laundry room and pantry. Those are the original red oak floors from 1924.

Here are some glamor shots
This is Molly, she's a bit chunky... spends a lot of the time in the kitchen too.
