And its time for warm soup....
Took the leftover pot roast and made some beef barley soup. Sweated out the usual suspects plus some finger spuds, that really stand up well to cooking, then mini prepped all the soft veg from the oh roast with some prik nam plah** and mutti paste. Cooked barley separate. All the reserve roast liquids with some fat plus the purée go in plus a couple of sprigs fresh thyme/rosemary.... simmer.
It's raining, the leaves are blowing and it's cooling down.
That's ok... the soup is good.
** prik nam plah for me = red boat 50 with bird eye chilis because it is written in stone.
