I have the same gear. Cool idea to flip the lid on the bath with the PS circulator; I'm gonna try that! Happy T-giving!

Lid was cut custom for my original PS creative series. When I traded up to the chef series, it didn't quite fit. The lid hit right on the PolyScience badge that sticks out on front. Flipping it over raised the contact point just above that, and it still snaps down tight. I've run it that way for years now.
