Creating foams

Hello everyone,

I'm in need of some help understanding/making foams. I have a gastronomy kit being delivered next week, one part of the kit is I get these packets that make foams. Now I do not own an immersion blender or siphon, can I use a blender or my kitchen aid mixer to add the necessary air into the liquid to make it foam? Thanks a bunch everyone!

It's probably lecithin, no need for a siphon, but a immersion blender would be ideal. Blender might work too.

The starter kit has the lecithin in it, just from the videos online have people using immersion blenders and I do not have one. Nor can purchase one atm.

You can do it with just a whisk. I haven't used lecithin to make foams before but with gelatin, you can just whisk with an ice bath so the gelatin sets while you aerate.
