Egg wash substitute

I'm planning on cooking the chuck roast but we have an egg allergy. What would be a good substitute for the egg wash before putting the herb coating on it to go into the oven to finish?

You can use pretty much anything you want, I use a ginger-soy mix instead of egg wash when doing chicken to fry.

Chickpea water. It acts very similar to egg white.
