Joule... Must be my karma
hairyotter_273859
So Christmas Day joule gave me the red blinking light of death. Error message: critical error, your joule can no longer be used, please contact ChefSteps. They got right on it but I'm going to have to wait until next week before I get a replacement. Not angry, just disappointed. Was about 10 min into my cooking. Good thing I have back up sous vide equipment.

Sorry to hear that!

Blinking red light - make sure there is enough water, make sure Joule is standing upright (accelerometer doesn't like to be tilted) or Joule has overheated (needs ventilation). Uncertain of your particular setup, but those are first stops, second order take out, 3rd, submit request. sorry to hear.

It was certainly not user error, not my first pony ride. I just got a lemon. So time to make lemonade. It happens even with the best of merchandise. Hell my Range Rover died going through the drive thru at Burger king when it was only a few months old. It's surprising how angry people get when you break down in a drive thru lane, can't go forward, can't go backwards. Talk about embarrassing. I still love my Joule still love my RR. I did submit a request and they could not have responded faster. In just a matter of hours I had heard back from someone named Nell. Great customer service. New one should be here next week. And take out? hmmm was not an option. Break out the Anova? Yes, that's what saved my dinner. This is an excellent example of why you should have 2 of everything. Thanks for your support.
