I am super new to the whole sous vide thing, and in general a not-so-great cook. I picked Joule due to the app and the doneness guide, as I am really terrible at cooking meat in particular. Tonight I tried the Creme Brulee recipe. It is my husband's absolute favorite dessert and we go out for it all the time. pfffttt. The Chefsteps guide and recipe was so incredibly easy that even I couldn't muck it up, and it kicked out the best Creme Brulee we have ever had. Between that and the insanely good steaks I now know how to make we will save a small fortune on going out to eat! Used my half pint Weck jars and it worked brilliantly! So glad I chose the Joule and waited it out for delivery! The folks at Chefsteps are brilliant- making it so easy to use even for those of us that are particularly challenged in the kitchen!
