Joule app Dev Team: orientation

Regardless of your misplaced wisdom about what is “Best” for all of us, please at the very least, give US, the customers and users of the device the CHOICE to use the app in Horizontal orientation.

Many of us use Joule app on tablets, WITH keyboards, and really find it inconvenient and shortsighted that you have not set the hook for auto rotation in the app.

Please, for the sake of sanity, give us horizontal orientation!!!!

BTW, this is about the 3rd or 4th time I have requested this from ChefSteps. I know at least a few of my fellow members on BillsKitchen on Yahoo and Facebook groups have also written numerous times. So, at least acknowledge that something is in process or tell us it will NEVER happen. Be fair.

I understand your frustration. This is a much-requested feature, for sure! Of course we want users to be able to use the app in landscape orientation. However, this isn't as simple as flipping a switch. It requires many many hours of design, development, and testing in order to get right. And getting it right is important to us.

So, with that said. Stay tuned.

Thanks, Emmett, you are the very first person, over several months, that has responded with ANY kind of response. Glad to see it is positive. If you have seen emails from me and looked at the sig, youʻll see what business Iʻm in. What that doesnʻt say is how LONG. May of 1984. And I know its not simply a matter of flipping a switch. Iʻve worked with TV stations, motion picture and video production houses, Ad Agencies and Design shops, and so Iʻm quite aware of the amount of work that is involved. My frustration came from never getting any kind of feedback on the question. Again, mahalo nui loa!!! A hui hou!
