Joule Software 61.23

Hey everyone!

Some of the ChefSteps team has written up some notes for some of the things that we've changed in our 61.23 Joule software update and why we have made the changes.

Thanks, Dan. I notice that the Alexa skill will not allow me to input a temperature above 90C, even though I can do that with the new update through the app. Can that be addressed?

@Dan_Ahern_30344 .... @Ellen_Kutscher_215631 .... don't know when this update went into play, but I can tell you this. I have two Joules running with software on two different tablets. One Joule cook started yesterday morning and the other I started about an hour ago, give or take. The software on both were completely normal until about half an hour ago. Now, on both tablets the software is a total mess. It's illegible with the wording all scrunched up over each other. I can set a temp but not a timer. When the orange 'temp' button is pressed the screen goes blank.

HELP! I would open a help ticket from the software but can't get there!

Yikes we have not seen this. @Nancy_Byrd_47779 could you try uninstall the app and reinstall the app?

Sounds great and all, I'm sure work went into it so congrats and good job, but until the SDK is released this is all "meh."

I wouldn't hold your breath for the official SDK; I don't think it's high priority for them right now. It's not terribly difficult to reverse engineer though—MiTM your device with Wireshark or Charles and see what API endpoints the app hits.

Hi. Sounds great and all, I'm sure work went into it so congrats and a good job. You probably need good app developers, mb you need to contact them https://owlab.group/services/ux-ui-design. I guess they can solve your problems. Web development is a hard task, so you need experts for that, they can recommend to you what to do, right?
