So it was just announced that Dave Arnold will move forward having secured 70% of their sales goal. Apparently they were able to convince the manufacturer to take a smaller run.
You have until tomorrow to pre-order.
I had a feeling something like this would happen and I'm glad I'll be able to get one. Still disappointed, however, that they didn't reach their goal. Given the rise of upscale bars (at least here in Chicago and in NY) I really thought these would be a no-brainer for any reasonably high-end bar/restaurant.

"First, thank you for your support. We have raised 70%, not 100%, of the funds we needed to pay for the tooling and first production run of the Spinzall. That is the bad news.
The good news is that we have persuaded our factory to lower the initial minimum order quantity -- so we DO have enough money pledged to complete the first run and, therefore, we are moving forward! We will not be accepting any more pre-orders after the end of Tuesday, January 31.
In February we will have confirmation from the factory as to whether we are still on target for July deliveries."
