Any update about selling in Europe?

Hi there,

I'm about to buy one sous vide, and I've chosen the Joule.

Unless they are going to need too much time to sell it outside US. Anova already sells theirs in Europe, and Klarstein does actually have a very competitive unit (half the price).

But the Joule is the best. So here's the question, do we have any update about when it will be available (Europe, Spain)? I'd appreciate knowing for example if this is not scheduled for 2017. Then I'd definitively go for another model!

I've advised others that the Anova will be the best bet for immediacy. I will give you that same advice and when Joule does go international you will already have a backup for long cooks.

Thanks for the reply. I was asking mainly to prevent a situation of "I buy tomorrow the Anova, and two months later the Joule is available, should I have known this, I would have happily waited".

What you are suggesting then is that the international commercialization of Joule is not going to happen anytime soon (?)

I don't know for any certainty one way or the other. I'm merely suggesting that for 99 you can get in the game now! That's a fact. If and or when ChefSteps takes it international... who knows?! And once you start using one you quickly realize that you will want one more!

At the end then I've bought the Karlstein, "Only" 100€ and then I'll probably buy the 2nd generation of Joule, or Electrolux-Anova if they can reduce its size. Let's see how the sous vide works out
