Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I've been using the Joule albeit "unorthodox" way and I simply like using it. I want to recommend the product to all my friends but to use it where I live, I need a huge step down transformer and I can't do site cooking with it cause it just does not make sense to bring the large device with me. To use it safely, you need to use a transformer capable of handling at least 2 the capacity of the device. Joule heat rating is at 1100w, so a 2000 - 3000w transformer would be ideal.
I know your team is working on finding a way to bring the Joule to the international market, however it seems that this is taking a very long time and I wonder what the hold up is all about. It is a wonderful device and I sure don't want to be continually recommending Anova as the alternative when Chefsteps seem to be taking a long time to release the 240v version for its international clients.
If you're looking for beta testers, I can definitely offer my assistance in helping out! Look forward to hearing from you soon and looking forward to recommending Joule to my friends and family.
