Steak thickness question

i'm making my very first steak tonight and have a 2 1/2 inch bone in ribeye that i want to make and am unsure of cook temp and time for medium rare and app only reaches 2 inch ...

For every half inch add 30 min. If you have a thermopen or the like you can check to make sure. Also give that steak a sear before your cook.
