Hey All,
So with the new place, if the offer goes through, I'm going to have to do induction. Gas range won't be feasible. Sucks, but I've moved on. Induction is pretty great after all.
Two problems.
I like the Viking 6 burner induction cooktop, but I need an oven and the way the kitchen is set up, I can't put a cooktop on the counter and then an oven elsewhere. Just trust me. Easier than me explaining the layout of the kitchen.
The other problem is that I like the Viking 6 burner and can't find anything comparable to it that comes as a range with an oven built below it!
Do I have someone build an island type thing against my exterior wall (in a large gap between two windows with no counter on either side) so that I can install the cook top and then put the oven underneath, or do I just try to find a range that I haven't found yet?
I like the size of 36". The Viking concerns me because the knobs (which I like!) are only simmer, low, med. low., med. high., and high. That may not be precise enough.
Anyway, what ranges are out there? Pretend price isn't a problem? The Wolf 36" induction range?
Thanks so much and I'm attaching a bad photo of the kitchen so you can get an idea of sorta what I'm dealing with. No counter top on either side of the range. I'm going to buy a large butcher block thing on wheels that I can use as a counter top.
