Pre-Heat Help?

does it help to pre heat water for Joule if you are using a larger volume, 3# gallon, bain marie? The thought is to maybe lessen the strain on joule to heat that much water. Thanks for any feedback.

It will just take less time for the water to get to temp. There's no need to worry about straining it. I'll often start with hot tap water if I'm cooking in a bigger Cambro, but that's just to save time.
