Any concrete plan on 220-240V version?

I have waited for a year already. Do you guys have any solid plan or timeline? You seriously are missing a lot of opportunities here.

No they don't. And they are getting a solid "F" in communication.

My understanding is this is work in progress, but they don't have a solid date due to testing, admin and regulatory issues (which are often a moving target). They traditionally don't make any announcement until things are quite "firm" with respect to a date. Otherwise, their update would be "we are working on it, but don't have an update". You could also email info@chefsteps.com and see if there is more information.

I'm about to give up on ever having an international model of Joule to purchase, and am very frustrated with ChefSteps. I really don't understand the issues, and am sure that a significant number of potential sales have been lost whilst many of their competitors appear to have no issues in coming up with updated and new products that are available in both voltages simultaneously.
I wonder if all these threads are now being ignored as simply being too difficult? In

I requested an update to all people who have registered for news, as well as asking for a sticky thread at the top of this forum section to avoid all of the current duplication, yet nothing has happened. Why invite people to register for news if there's apparently no intention of ever sending out news? That is a terrible approach to modern online marketing and gives us a very negative sense of being valued and wanted.
If I don't see signs of formal and useful information from ChefSteps during the remainder of this week then I shall take my custom elsewhere. I'm just one person so easily ignored but together we must make an army!

with their nose to the grindstone, I would respectfully submit they may not have the bandwidth to monitor all threads in the forum. Try emailing them directly at info@chefsteps.com and it is likely you will receive a reply. As for comparisons to other units, Joule has been the last to the market and will be last to go through all the regulatory hurdles. Further, their electronics are different than all home units I know of and may be subjected to different/more regulatory paperwork.

Hi Todd, I'd hope that they'd keep a keen eye on their own forum, especially as it's not so busy and they have responded occasionally within this category, but I take your point and will send an email. I don't agree about this being the last product to market, though, as there's a lot of activity visible via sousvideguy.com and thesweethome.com, and hence I think ChefSteps are about to miss the international "boat". Doing so will not bode well for the US-domestic future of Joule, either, if other manufacturers can reduce cost and hence prices through global volume.

What a shame. I sent an email, and it was acknowledged by the system but not by a human. I've given up, and instead pre-ordered the Anova Nano. Perhaps ChefSteps should consult with Anova for how to sell in Europe;-) Anova started taking international orders very soon after opening for the US, and of course their older models have all been readily available for some time now. The Nano is happily closer in dimensions to the Joule, but of course not as powerful, however as I expect to pre-adjust the water temp from a boiling water tap system I hope to not notice any operational differences as a result of the lower output. Best wishes to those who have more patience than me, and keep waiting - I was really quite patient, though!
