Apple Watch notifications

I read a post that stated notifications were possible on the Apple Watch. I'm not seeing how to make this work. There's no watch app listed. Anyone able to confirm or deny? If it is possible, would you walk me through setting it up?

It should be turned on by default.

However you can go into the "Watch" app on the iPhone. On the "My Watch" tab, go in to notifications.

Then scroll down to "Mirror iPhone alerts from", scroll to joule and turn it on.
