Best thing you've ever eaten? Worst thing you've ever eaten?

So, I do a lot of travelling for work, and customers / management do seem to favor their fancy restaurants, which in many cases means I eat a lot of good food... but the best thing I've ever eaten was a simple gnocci in Rome, I found a tiny restaurant in a corner on a off the beaten track street one night, and that sort of set the tone for a life of gnocci searching... I'm italian, so pasta's sort of a given in my life Worst thing was deep fried shark balls in hong kong... One bite, and it was all over... I've never tasted anything that fishy in my entire life, and never again will I. A close second, and while not eating, still relating to food, an inniskillin vidal icewine, I've had a number from that vineyard and all have been awesome.

I'm not sure what the best thing I have ever eaten is as I love all food so much. When I was in Japan I ate a lot of great food. My uncle took me to a restaurant that serves raw meat and you cook it yourself on a grill built into the table (Yaki Niku). Some of the Kobe beef was amazing, it literally melted in your mouth. I also enjoyed Shabu Shabu which is where you cook meat and vegetables in a large pot of boiling water, the seseame sauce that goes with it is fantastic. Worst thing would have to be beets, I just don't like them in any capacity...
