Joule sounds like it is straining

the last 2 cooks my joule sounds like the motor is straining while it heats the water. should i be concerned? what can i do about this?

The noise could be one of two things:
1: The container you are cooking in may be resonating with the motor creating a unpleasant sound.
2: The Joule Unit has Limescale built up from cooking at higher temperatures or using hard water. To fix this place joule in small vessel and add a 1:1 mix of water and distilled vinegar. Bring unit to 140F. This should take care of noise.
