Avec Eric and Made In Spain are two of my favorites. They aren't documentaries in the strictest sense, but they are more than just stand-and-stir demo shows.

Into The Bottle (Netflix) - Sort of a sequel to Somm, deals more with the history of viticulture. Many of the same people are featured.

Decanted (Netflix) - Focuses on the rise of Napa

Noma: My Perfect Storm (Netflix) - We've secretly replaced Rene's brigade of world-class chefs with a bunch of twits who don't seem to know anything. Let's see what happens! (Kidding, but that's kind of how some of the kitchen staff come off)*

* And I just realized I might be cross-threading my memory with a different Noma documentary. Proceed with caution.

Not sure if it counts as documentaries, but I really enjoyed Inside Heston's World, Heston's Feasts, and Heston's Fantastical Food (See a pattern develop here? I'm a huge fan.)

Jiro Dreams of Sushi was very good as well - made my SO want to go to Japan.

There was another show from the early 90s (I think) called A Cook's Tour of France. It was hosted by Mireille Johnston and featured regional specialties throughout France.

Then there was Raymond Blanc's A Hungry Frenchman and also A Very Hungry Frenchman.
