Transformer with Joule
Linh_618304
I read that "voltage transformers and converters can damage your Joule". I will be in Asia soon and really really want to bring my Joule with me so I just want to know if anyone's had any success with using Joule with a transformer, or better yet, a compact one (around 2-4 lbs) that look like this one

If there are folks who have, I don't think they've posted about it. There was a user who used an adapter in Britain (230 v) and he said the joule was making unpleasant sounds until it was up to temperature. I would urge caution, if for nothing more than using a transformer or adapter with your joule will void the warranty. I know that doesn't really fixed you what you're looking for. What's the power output of that transformer?

As I understand it, it would still void the warranty, so it comes down to how badly you want to travel with the extra 20 lbs. :-)
