Hi, I've read the posts from Chefsteps that indicates that it isn't "safe" to use with 220V even with a stepdown transformer, but I assume (maybe wrongly) that they are just covering their butts and not supporting it, but that it will probably work OK.
My question is: Have other people had any luck using a transformer to stepdown 220 to 110 but NOT using a frequency convertor, and had the Joule work fine over time (like weeks, months)? Or should I return it (I just bought it a few days ago, planning a move to a 220V country in a month) and get a sous vide machine that accepts 220 natively? Looks like Anova for example has a 220v version.
