What's Going on at Chefsteps?

I'm sure this has been asked a few times before, but is there any timeline on when/if Chefsteps will be putting out content on the reg again?

and it allegedly has a post from Chris, but who knows the veracity.

Here's the comment: So I can promise it won't be all sous vide, all the time forever at ChefSteps.

Our current reality is that Joule has been very successful—enough so that we're not going out of business anytime soon. There are many aspects of both Joule and ChefSteps that we're working on, and premium cooking content is one of them.

Clicking on the rest of his comments, it looks like the account is legit, or someone who has spent the last year REALLY working hard on pretending to be him.

It definitely looks legit, but I was curious if anyone had heard anything else concrete. I follow a lot of the chefsteps crew in IG and it seems they are working, but nothing is being made public.....

I’m sure they’re working hard and new content will come, but Joule has really become a thing and they are probably still adjusting to being a product based company. Or st least that’s my weak defense of all of this.

Your concerns don’t really bother me. I think what they have created so far is fantastic and if it all stopped there would still be plenty of amazing content to use for yewrs to come.

My issue has been and still is this god awful forum. They ruined it a few years ago and have since stopped caring altogether. I understand why they stopped caring since everybody left anyway. Years ago this was the place. Now I check in a few times a year. They don’t even have the forum listed at the top of the page. You have to scroll to the bottom. If it weren’t for Todd Shewman I’d stop altogether. He always has answers and ideas for me.

This is probably the 3rd or 4th “what happened to ChefSteps” thread in the past 2 years. I think the content and educational aspects of ChefSteps is great. I hate they killed their own community.

@Robert Brown, I get that joule blew up past expectations, which is great. But I don't see how the hardware scaling affects the content of the site.

Re: what they created so far. For me, Chefsteps has been 50/50. Either the greatest version of X recipe I have ever tried ~ or a complete dud. I have felt they struggled to find their voice. I like the fact that they aren't going for mass appeal like Cooks Illustrated, but I'm not springing for a pacoject.....

Per your first point, I may have just been trying to give them some kind of defense. Like I said. Weak defense.
